Julia Kalthoff is an axe maker living in Stockholm.

Parasto Backman is the founder of Studio Parasto Backman, a Stockholm based graphic design studio. She mixes commissions with self-initiated projects and her clients include art galleries, theaters, publishers, museums, fashion brands, film production companies etc. A central part of Parasto’s work process is about illuminating power structures in order to broaden the palette of graphic design and create space for other forms of expression, logics and references within the field. To go beyond Eurocentric traditions of thinking and making is her consistent baseline in all kinds of project attained. Since a few years back Parasto is also a Senior Lecturer of Visual Communication towards Graphic Design at Konstfack University of Arts, Craft & Design in Stockholm.

Living in stockholm. I started my career by assisting many of Swedens top photographers. In the beginning I was intrigued by fashion but over the years my course has changed towards a new more personal photography, holding a slower, more thoughtfull expression. I try to tell subtle stories that has a personal connection. My objects are landscapes, architecture and environmental portraits, often with a calm melancholy where the human influence on our surrounding is an important subject. I currently work for magazines and advertising clients along with my personal projects.

Ryan Koopmans (BA, MFA) is a Dutch Canadian photographer interested in the built environment and the societies that are shaped by those environments. Born in Amsterdam (1986) he was raised on Vancouver Island, in British Columbia, Canada, completed his undergraduate education at UBC in Vancouver, and in 2012 received a Masters of Fine Art in Photography, Video & Related Media at The School of Visual Arts in New York City. His undergraduate degree in the interdisciplinary practices of geography, art history, and psychology formed the basis for his interest in architecture and the communities living in that architecture. Koopmans is primarily drawn to photographing surreal structures in our world’s megacities and urban landscapes. Formal qualities in their geometry, repetition, and saturation help him illustrate what he terms ‘the poetry of form in interesting locations.’ In essence, his work documents the points of intersection where the natural and manmade converge. He credits his upbringing on Canada’s rugged West Coast, where distances and vistas are vast, as to why he often photographs from a removed perspective, embracing a large sense of scale. Currently based in Stockholm, Sweden, the majority of the year Koopmans travels around the world for both personal and assigned photography & video projects.
