I moved to Berlin about six years ago and got a job at the props department of a theatre. During that time, I decided to take a degree in Communication Design. After three years of studying, I graduated writing a bachelor thesis about my photography project “Luminant Point Arrays”. Since then, the series was exhibitied in several places around the world. Right now, I am woking on a new photographic project besides working as a freelance graphic designer.

The typical Berlin winter is biting cold and grey. In combination with the hardness of the city and the angry natives, it feels like a hostile area. Why it's worth experiencing it? Because that's the way this city is.

Berlin / Airport

The Tempelhof Airport is now closed and they have transformed the landing field into a public park area. As soon as you go there you notice that usually you don't get to see that much sky in the city so entering this area for the first time is quite overwhelming. I especially love the old softball fields that have been built during the American occupation.

Berlin / Market

A place where I spend some time almost everyday is the Marheineke Markthalle on Bergmannstraße in Kreuzberg. It's just around the corner from where I live and a great place to buy fresh food and products from local farmers or all kinds of delicatessen from different countries. Many market stalls also sell freshly prepared food and it's always busy at lunchtime. For saturday mornings try the original french croissants.

He is the co-founder of Paleworks Studio which focuses on the variety of producing—in the areas of art, architecture, and design. His multidisciplinary approach creates a base for art direction, identity design, branding, photography, art installations, product, and fashion design. His education started with two bachelor degrees -in textile engineering and graphic design- and was followed up with the Master’s Degree Course in Media Art at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar—where he also worked as a lecturer. His practice gives a range of creative services—from digital, spatial, editorial design to branding & typography. He creates projects in cultural and commercial fields both based on aesthetics and functionality.
