Alys is a photographer based in north London. Her work has been included in over twenty international exhibitions, most recently at the Rencontres d’Arles in France and Somerset House, London. She was named Sony World Photographer of the Year 2018 for her series ‘Ex-Voto’ and the work was published by GOST Books in 2019.

Heaven in the heart of ugly Vauxhall. This peaceful and enchanting spot used to be squatted and has a very bohemian feel to it. Don't miss the secret garden with mosaics made of cups and plates. The food in the Italian deli is delish, a guy called Richard cooks it.

Slightly biased as this is where I live, but Stoke Newington is great place to spend lazy saturday / sunday afternoons getting sloshed with friends. There are 10 + pubs within walking distance who all are great places for one reason or another. I'll pick out the White Hart for its huge beer garden...
