If you are lucky enough to get a table at this tiny 6 table only Café you are in for a real treat. The coffee is great, the cakes are delicious and the staff is friendly in this traditional wifi free (meaning no wifi here) Café. On a quiet day this is the best place to delve into your favourite novel while being caressed by the easy listening aural pleasure of Classic FM. But the real reason I come here is to overhear the conversations of the other customers. More than once did I have to put my book aside to pay closer attention to the charming, wonderful and often nuts conversations going on around me. I’ve overheard all sorts of discussions varying from ‘Psychoanalysis’ to ‘Proustian ideas’, ‘Science Fiction’ to ‘Greek Mythology’ and ‘African Studies’ to ‘the takeover of DC Comics’.

German born Dennis Schoenberg moved to London to study Film and Audio-Visual Production and subsequently completed an MA in Photography at Westminster University. Dennis then went on to work as a photographic assistant for Rankin at Dazed & Confused before moving to New York to assist Steven Klein. On returning to London Dennis became Studio Manager for Turner Prize winner Wolfgang Tillmans. Throughout this time Dennis built up a relationship with i-D Magazine for which he started working as a freelance photographer after having left his position at Wolfgang Tillmans. Since then Dennis has been working as a portrait and fashion photographer as well as a video director.

London / Art Centre

Probably my favourite building in the city, and right in the heart of it. There are always interesting events happening here, across art and music, and you can drink in the courtyard during summer

London / Restaurant

I discovered this hidden gem by pure chance when i explored the area in one of my lunch breaks. Rochelle Canteen is hidden away behind the walls of three former victorian schools on Arnold Circus in London's Shoreditch. The atmosphere, upon entering the ground, is relaxed almost tranquil. The canteen itself is situated in the old bike shed and the kitchens' size almost belies it's output. The food is distinctively modern British; run by Arnold & Henderson, a household name of britisch cuisine. The guests are local creative types so that the atmosphere is more relaxed then anything else. In the summer you can also sit outside.

London / Park

A peaceful park in Kingston Upon Thames. You can see lovely houses and gardens across the river. It's a wonderful place where you can take a rest with your family or friends. I recommend you to take a walk after having lunch or dinner in riverside restaurants near to the park. It's not big, however, very enough to feel the beauty of nature. I've done some location drawings here which was quite exciting. Just seat on a bench and enjoy the comfortable atmosphere.

These giant spectral cylinders are great at different times of the day but my favourite time is around dusk when the buildings in the city start to light up. The Gherkin and the new Shard building are framed in the lowest ring then the shifting colours of the sky are almost split in the following ellipses.

London / Attraction

A Hint of Mint, Taylors Sky, Class Freedom, Horseshoe Ping – amazing names, muscle, speed, beers, the cheap thrill of Greyhound racing at the dog tracks is a London must. It was best experienced at Walthamstow Stadium, an iconic 1930's stadium with a fantastic neon sign that sadly closed for racing in 2008. However fights to save it from demolition and reopen it for racing have been ongoing since then. So please support the campaign 'Save our Stow' and in the meantime head to the dog tracks in Romford, Wimbledon or Crayford.
