One of my favourite places to snoop around is the food market open on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It's always bustling with crowds so great for people watching. You can get the best of anything here which is why it's hard to resist spending a small fortune.

This is one of my favourite places in the whole of London. Cernamic, run by Nam and Susi, they offer some fantastic workshops and at a very affordable price. They have really cultivated a welcoming environment, full of lovely people and a place to share and recieve knowledge.

NFT1 Films are well selected but if by chance what is on screen does not suit your taste then the seats are very comfortable to nap in.

Bulk Market is a zero-waste shop in the arches next to Hackney Central station. The shop offers a range of products such as fruits, vegetables, nuts and grains all free from any packages. Bring your own empty jars and reusable boxes.

Best Udon in London, with an exceptional specials board. The head chef Shuko Oda opened the first restaurant in Soho 11 years ago, and they now have restaurants in the City and on Broadway market. Great for kids, our son loves the Mackerel udon.
