Gi Myao is a painter and illustrator living in London. Central Saint Martins fashion design graduate, she worked as a fashion designer, print designer and sometimes brand consultant, until she decided to focus on fashion and style illustration working extensively for international magazines and fashion houses. Gi is now a proud working-mum. She launched babies and kids online concept shop, Rocket Shop London in 2016.

I'm a freelance Designer & Illustrator based in East London. I bring a bold and impactful approach into each project, no matter how big or small the job is. My work is very varied, from branding, editorial, retail design, typographic work and also illustration. I have over 11 years design experience working in London. For the last six months, I have been a strange tourist in Munich. I came here to work in a studio and had not so much time to visit it properly. But I partly came in Germany because I was interested in its specific creative approach: it’s precision and rigorousity. In it’s system culture in a way. And indeed it’s a very intellectual society, ruled by color codes and order. It was definitely funny to see that these things are visible in many daily aspects of life. Or maybe it’s just me wanting to see them... Very soon, I will move to London - where I would like to do some freelance work, in product, furniture and space design.
