The quality is always superb, the staff are friendly and human and the landladies Michelle and Tanya are part of what make this place and London so magical. A little gem that is a must on anyone's visit to London.

As a keen runner, running through Greenwich Park and on to the river side I see the Thames Barrier, which is not only the worlds second-largest movable flood barrier (after the Oosterscheldekering in the Netherlands) but is also an iconic site on what is fast becoming a recognised stretch for developers including the 02 and Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication.

A small, independent cinema with a lot to offer the Brixton wanderer. As well as operating like you would expect a converted theatre-to-cinema to, Ritzy offers exclusive, niche film viewings, two bars and an upstairs live music venue. All of which provide an amazing platform to be 'culture-slapped' into shape.

Full of fine books, nice owner and his beautiful mellow dog. If you like digging for books on most subjects you can strike lucky here.
