The Sackler Crossing is part of a route through the 120 hectares of Kew Gardens, designed by John Pawson in 2006. Set low to the surface of the lake, it seems to float across the water.

I often stop when passing this artery of city traffic. The dwarfing structure casts shapes and shadows which can easily be missed when speeding in/out of the city.

If you don’t believe me try it. The second you step off the main shopping area the sound and lights dim, the rugs beg to be touched, and all your worries seem to disappear.
