Chavela’s makes delicious authentic Mexican food and its around the corner from my house, so I come here a lot. They make a mean margarita, and you can’t beat their happy hour prices. $2 tacos? Yes, please. The decor is bright and lively, and the bar is made of beautiful Mexican tiles.

She enjoys telling surreal stories by combining different mediums - illustration, painting, collage, animation and film. Some of her clients include the Sundance Channel, the National Geographic Channel, the Moxie Institute, the Mountains Goats, the Dive Index, Levi’s, and GE. It's sugar-coated shabbyness. I have been there in wintertime, all the rides and attractions were closed, but it´s still nice to have a walk on the beach or spot some funny looking storefronts and vintage-looking rollercosters. A perfect backdrop for photoshootings, a gem for friends of vintage typography. On 4th of july hot dog eating contests are held here (they actually do that!).

Nearly every dance company has filtered through the theater and with a season that lasts about 45 weeks, there's always a performance to see and tickets are very reasonably priced. I prefer a performance at The Joyce then at Lincoln Center any day.
