I discovered the Frick my first week in New York, during a heat wave in August. The galleries were surprisingly empty, with only the occasional visitor strolling through the rooms, gently creaking the floorboards. I stood for a while in front of the Bronzino, a portrait of a boy standing against a background of green drapery, and then sat in the courtyard for a long, cool hour.

On the west side highway...I don't ride much anymore but I stlll love hanging there, meet people, take pictures, look at the new school and old pros (It's Steve Olson on the pix) also one of the top spot to look at the sun come down...

For art books, monographs and catalogs new and used at a discount. I can never manage to leave here without a bag full of books in tow.

Since September this year, the very best place to hear an authentic voice, keeping Wall Street sharp.

A good flat white is hard to find but this is one place in NYC that has coffee that tastes like it does back in New Zealand.
