When I first visited NY in 2010 the New Museum left a permanent impression. I love the architecture and the concept of the piled-white-shoe-box look-a-like building at the edge of the Lower East Side neighborhood. The exhibition program is appealingly different, and the bookstore in the foyer is not to be missed!

I’m Verena Michelitsch, an independent designer and art director from Austria by way of New York City. I specialize in conceptualizing and creating unique visual expressions, spanning graphic design, art direction, illustration, pattern, editorial, and digital design. High line at sunset - Obvious choice but still magic.the chaos mixture of vegetation art and perambulation and good excuse to see the shows in Chelsea, the light there end of day in autumn is transportive.

The Christmas light House in the Bronx is a neighborhood fixture that is hard to miss. It is decorated year round with life size statues and is painted bright pink. Though it draws most of its audience during the holidays it is an anomaly throughout the seasons. Such a bizarre place with such exuberant colors and vibrancy attracts an artists eye and will draw you in.

I love having Breakfast at Le Coucou - you'll find me here several times a week. Le Californien, OJ and Expresso! Dinner is very formal - but amazing if you dig the French high-end, but Pro tip: They have amazing drinks, so drop by and hang in the bar for a few drinks!
