One of the oldest cinema's of Europe. Stunning Art Deco extravaganza. Make sure you watch a film in the big Cinema 1. 

View from my studio. I love the view from my studio. It is at the University campus and has a great architectural mix of old and new buildings. It is special to have such a large area in the centre of small Amsterdam where it is quiet, no traffic and no stores. 

A tiny record shop that has all the character you'd want.  They also sell produce out front which gives it even more character. 

Rijksmuseum in all glory but the rather overlooked library is a must.
