As the summer is my favorite time of the year and that the beach is just 15 min bikeride away, I recommend Amager strand. Full of people usually though, but even so it gives a bit of an exotic touch to such a scandinavian city with the sea and the bright sand in the hot summer days.

As the name implies, the Paper Island was home to a large paper warehouse for the newspaper production. This bookshop, Charlottenborg Art Books, found at the entrance of the art hall, has a great curated selection of both artist’ books and general art books on art, design and architecture. If you want to dive into experimental book designs from Europe this is the place to visit.

Stop by for breakfast or lunch. Great atmosphere and surroundings. Best coffee in town!
