Mekelburg's is equal parts hipster bodega, bar and sandwich haven. I always go for the cheese counter, the babka and the late night fried chicken sandwich, which is hands down one of the best I've had in NY. 

AIR at Summit One is a multi-story, completely immersive environment 91 floors above the street in midtown Manhattan. A stunning, transportive world created by digital and installation artist Kenzo, it is designed to transport you to another world away from the street culture of NYC and into an alternate state of consciousness. Peak time to go is sunset, when the mirrored environment transitions from magic daylight vistas to an internal LED system that removes all sense of time and space.

This Bookstore has an amazing photography section. I go here to get inspired. You can spend hours in here looking at all kinds of great photography books.

For Adults and Kids a good reason to get the "out of the city feeling" although you are still in the middle of it! Free entrance with NYC ID!

This botanical garden is massive. If you like to be surrounded by foliage, bring a picnic on a nice day.
