The Sunset in my neighbourhood Is fantastic. Like a Caspar David Friedrich painting the sunsets are so romantic that you cannot help but feel overwhelmed with emotion if you are ever witness to one. In spite of Bushwick being full of warehouses and industrial buildings (and reportedly no trees..) There is a raw beauty that is so magical that words cannot express.

Nature is the only thing I sometimes feel that I miss in the city and though I love going to Central Park and Prospect Park it’s still a bit of a hike for everyday life. Thankfully there’s a ton of small gardens and parks all around the city and in the summer some of them turns in to secluded hideouts. My favorite is cramped in between 6th avenue, a playground and another street but it still feels like (almost) being in a little forest when sitting there.

Niche cinema for people who care too much about film and like obscure things. The restaurant/bar upstairs has great food, drinks, and skylights too.

A well-curated vintage movie poster store. Smart and friendly staff.

A community-engaged and accessible arts space dedicated to supporting artists in the production and presentation of public artworks. Socrates does not have a permanent collection and all artworks are temporarily on view.
